On July 4th we took a little driving tour before going to a cookout at the home of one of the Harbor pastor's. We did the beach tour - Pacific, Ocean, Mission, La Jolla. This is probably really tacky, but (due to the holiday) it felt a little like Panama City. Granted, we didn't actually go down to the beach, but there were A LOT of people there. We drove out to Point Loma and went through the Rosencrans National Cementary and down to the Cabrillo National Monument. To give it the proper due - the monument is in honor of the European settlement of the area in 1542, but it is also a 360 degree view that includes dowtown.
We found this cute little market - The Olive Tree - that had great take out food. We took some out to a park near Pacific Beach. You can see it was pretty hazy - you couldn't even see the water. Not sure how I indeeded up on the ground and they are in the two large chairs.
End of the day. See the moon? We had a great view of about four synchronized fireworks displays, but we got those pics on our other camera. We got Olivia out of bed for them - she was thankful.
