Let us take our baskets early
To the meadows green,
While the wild flowers still are pearly
With the dewdrops sheen.
Fill them full of blossoms rosy,
Violets and gay
Cowslips, every pretty posy
Welcoming the May.
Then our lovely loads we'll carry
Down the village street,
On each door, with laughter merry,
Hang a basket sweet.
Definitely a new tradition in our home. Our neighbors loved them and the kids loved the excitement of ringing the doorbells and running. A lovely way for Joseph to give on his own birthday too!

where did you get the flowers?
They are from our yard. They pretty much stay in bloom all year -but they are dried. Even on the plant right now. It is weird. I forget what they are called. Some people call them Everlastings
These look great! The flowers are statice and they really do last. Caleb says, "Happy Birthday Jophes!"
