Prolonged Absence

Sorry for the lack of updates here. We have been out of town and I left the cord that hooks the camera to the computer in Georgia. We should have it back soon. Joseph has two teeth, Olivia is learning Spanish ("Que pasa?"), Mike and I have been painting the downstairs, and we got a dog. Hope that tides you over. We'll post pictures soon.

Olivia, we miss you!

Workin' the yip yips

"Aaagghhh get your greasy, cherry "yips" away from me!"

One greased puppy

What is that saying about fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me. This is the second tube of "yip yips" I have found in this condition. (We call chapstick lip lips in our family.) I keep giving her the benefit of the doubt because I think it is just so cute that she always wants to carry yip yips in her pocket. This morning we put her down for a nap and forgot they were in the pocket. She didn't.

One sick puppy

We have been a sad bunch around here this week. Fevers. Snot. Teeth. Joseph went from 4 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. yesterday without nursing. I finally fed him with a dropper like a hurt baby bird because he quit having tears when he cried. This picture commemorates the first time he breathed (is that a word?) through his nose in two days. We have been able to get a few smiles out of him this morning, but he is still pretty down and out.

A Little Turn on the Cat Walk

Sometimes, at the end of the day, I look at her and say to myself, "How did that happen?" Meaning the outfit, of course. This time I retraced the day and came to the following conclusion:
The Making of an Outfit:
Nightgown - dressed by mom the night before
Shoes - put on by Olivia
Art Apron - put on by Grandma after opening it (this was Christmas day by the way)
The Coat - I think her dad put that on because she wanted to go outside
The Hat - Aunt Pam topped this off just before exiting the building
The Sticks - Accessory by Olivia

So, you see, it isn't always all Olivia's fault.

Practice makes perfect

Good thing they practiced weeks ago - they look much more relaxed. No need for the head lock, Joseph knows his job now.
They're up!
They're down!
