The Ottoman Turks

I am sad to say that our favorite history lesson this year is very poorly documented in pictures.  We ordered a huge take-out feast from a Iraqi kabob shop here in the neighborhood and invited our local Arabic and Ottoman experts (August's parents) over for an evening of feasting and education.  Lor read to the children in Arabic and made place cards with everyone's names.  Michael made up a little slide show of some of his visits to the lands where the Ottoman Turks once ruled.  Michael teaches modern Middle East history.  It was rich!

Look at August asking like he doesn't care.  He so does.
