It's not illegal in San Diego, by the way. The homeless are everywhere here. We see four of them every Sunday at church. Mark, Anita, Adam, and Debra. They are two couples. One couple is expecting a baby. They share the Gospel on the street. They are a little stinky. They are super nice. They groove during the singing during worship. There are 3 nationalities between them. They take what food they can get and their blankets to the Embarcadaro (marina type place) and listen to the outdoor concerts...for free because they are sitting outside the gate...just like we did last summer.

It's not always what you think.

Here's something for the "It's not what you think" Dept. A couple of weeks ago, this couple came in to Hope Resource Center. The girl - blackest black, beautiful woman, white teeth and gorgeous smile (found out later she was from Somolia). "Boyfriend" was white, dressed hip-hopish, couple of tatoos, no smile - at first. They were in for pregnancy test. Well, you can guess what i "assumed". WRONG! They had gotten married New Years Eve, he didn't think he could have kids, he is Christian, she, Muslim - they were thrilled! with the news. He was balling. I had to repent.
